First, we would like to talk to you about our organization.  Our school was founded in August 2, 1994 by a dedicated group of Martial Artists. San Juan Aikikai Dojo is an institution affiliated to the United States Aikido Federation.

San Juan Aikikai, Inc. was organized as a non-profit institution in October 3, 1994, under the article 1301 of the General Law for Corporations of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico with its register number 27,161.  It is important to mention that San Juan Aikikai, Inc. as an institution do not have salaried employees and all the work realized by the main instructors as well as their assistants, board members and any other school member is completely volunteer; and emerge from the genuine interest that we all practitioners have to encourage and promote this art according to the standards and rules of the organizations to which we are affiliated.

Each one of the economic resources gathered by our institution is directed to cover its operating expenses such as physical facilities maintenance and activities to encourage our art.  Among those activities you may find International Aikido Seminars sponsored by our school.  Those seminars are conducted by the most recognized national and international Aikido Instructors.  Those kind of activities are very expensive and are paid mostly by the monthly membership fees.

Our institution do not charge our members for the learing activities.  The monthly fee that each member pays is for the utilization of physical facilities, which requires a monthly rent payment, utilities and maintenance.

We feel very proud to feel our organization as our home and  as an extension of our families.  This is why our objective is that each one of the persons who wants to join our organizaion, felt the same way we do as quickly as possible.  We hope you visit us soon and that you became part of our organization.
